Real Estate Associate Claudine Adeyemi has been nominated for the Rising Star category at the inaugural Social Mobility Awards 2017. The awards celebrates and recognises the forward-thinking organisations who are developing initiatives to promote social mobility, within their own workforce, or by influencing the debate from beyond its own walls.
In addition to her main job role, Claudine is passionate about diversity, particularly ethnicity and social mobility issues affecting young people. Not only does Claudine sit on Mishcon de Reya's Diversity Committee, previously leading the sub group for ethnicity and social mobility, but in her spare time founded and runs The Student Development Co. C.I.C., a non-profit organisation which provides career related support to 16 to 24 year olds from less privileged backgrounds. It has already helped over 200 16-24 year olds make more informed decisions about their futures, working with various companies. Claudine also launched a mobile app, Career Ear, which aims to improve accessibility to quality careers advice for young career-seekers from less privileged backgrounds. Claudine's award nomination recognises her commitment to social mobility.
The winners will be announced at the awards gala on 12th October 2017.
