Financial Services: Time for Change - Why equality in financial services is about commercial sense, not political correctness

Mishcon de Reya is hosting a panel discussion, 'The Financial Services Sector: time for change', an event looking at the role of women within the industry. The discussion will include a review of Jayne-Anne Gadhia's 'Women in Finance' report, launched at the Bank of England on 22 March 2016.

Our panel will consider:

  • Whether the current political and social environment represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity for significant and meaningful strides to be made towards women achieving parity with men in the world of financial services;
  • the practical action required to take advantage of any such opportunity; and
  • why this is commercially important and beneficial to the financial services sector.

The panel will be moderated by:

Sarah Pennells - Financial journalist, broadcaster and Founder of SavvyWoman.co.uk

Panelists include:

Steven Cooper - CEO, Personal Banking, Barclays
Gina Miller - Founder of SCM Direct, Moneyshe.com and the True and Fair Campaign
Jane Platt - Chief Executive, NS&I
