Hammond unveils digital services tax to raise £400 million a year

Adam Rose, Partner and Head of Technology, was mentioned in The Telegraph article, "Hammond unveils digital services tax to raise £400 million a year".

Tech giants including Google and Facebook are to be hit with a digital services tax of more than £400m per year.

The proposal has been criticised as potentially damaging for Britain's own technology industry at a sensitive time during Brexit negotiations. However, Adam said the tax was "possibly the first step towards bringing the UK's tax system for technology dominated services into the modern era".
