Fashion's new frontiers: what's next for retail?

Speaking at a recent industry conference on the growth in internet use and consumer connectivity as a trend - and challenge - facing retailers, Peter Nunn, Associate at Mishcon de Reya said:

"While there's no doubt the challenge of counterfeiting is a global issue, the goalposts are changing continuously".

Counterfeit goods account for an estimated 5-7% of global trade – worth $500-600bn in the US- and around £3bn is spent on counterfeit clothing and footwear in the UK every year.
