A study of over 4000 parents and children was commissioned by family lawyers at Mishcon de Reya to mark the 20th anniversary of the Children Act which was implemented in November 1989 to improve the welfare of youngsters caught in the middle of parental separation.

Mishcon de Reya has long been committed to ensuring and promoting equality and diversity. Indeed, over 50 years ago our founder, Lord Mishcon, sat on the Wolfenden committee, which recommended that homosexual behaviour between consenting adults in private should no longer be a criminal offence. The committee's recommendations eventually led to the passage of the Sexual Offences Act 1967.
