Every year as part of the Firm’s Social Impact Strategy we donate to UK registered charities, many of which are chosen by our people.

Discretionary Fund

Our bi-monthly Discretionary Fund encourages people across the firm to nominate UK registered charities for consideration.  Reviewed and distributed by a revolving committee, we support over 50 charities each year. We also support our clients' fundraising efforts.

Match Funding

We encourage our people's fundraising efforts by matching sponsorship for fundraising events. In 2018 we sponsored 30 members of staff a total of £15,000.

Trainee Fundraising

Our First Year Trainees have committed to raise £10,000 for Breaking Barriers who work with refugees finding them meaningful job, training and education opportunities.  This in turn helps with their successful settlement in, and integration with, their new communities.

Charities we support

Holborn Community Association

Holborn Community Association have been a vital part of our local community for over 30 years.  Based across three centres, they run a range of sport, play, art and learning activities for all ages, ranging from free drop-in sessions for families, film making and pottery, taekwondo for children and table tennis for older people, along with daily provision of day care for vulnerable older people.

MQ: Transforming Mental Health

Dedicated to funding scientific research to transform the lives of everyone affected by mental health illness, MQ believe everyone should have access to a mental health treatment that works for them. By gaining more knowledge about how and why mental health conditions occur, diagnosis can be made more quickly, the search for better treatments can be improved and ways to prevent mental illness developing can be established.

Through the Lewa Education Programme, part of the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya, we support Ngare Ndare primary and secondary schools, funding teacher salaries. In addition, we support a tertiary education bursary which is awarded to the highest achieving student and will support their studies through university.

Our fundraising has also built a girls' dormitory at Ngare Ndare secondary school and dormitories at Sang'a primary school for both boys and girls.  Our staff continue to support the Education Programme by personally funding student bursaries.

Since joining Kiva Microfunds in 2010, our original £12,000 investment has enabled us to make over 7,500 loans totalling $238,000 to entrepreneurs in 73 developing countries.
