Sarah advises on all aspects of employment work. She works with a variety of individuals and employers, which gives her insight into both parties' point of view. Her recent work covers all the key areas, including advice on redundancy, unfair dismissal, gross misconduct, breach of contract, maternity and parental rights and all areas of discrimination. Advising on the commencement and the conclusion of working relationships, and the terms of these, is a particular focus of Sarah's work. In the last year she has added work on several high value Employment Tribunal cases to her employment portfolio, most recently successfully advising on a religious race discrimination and breach of contract claim in the London Central Employment Tribunal.

Key Experience

Sarah has led and assisted with a number of discrimination cases, with a particular focus on sex and pregnancy discrimination. Her successes have ranged from acting for a former director of a major investment bank to obtain a high value settlement, to successfully defending a pregnancy discrimination claim brought against a high profile media client in the Employment Tribunal.
Sarah has acted for employees and employers to achieve successful outcomes in a number of cases of alleged gross misconduct, including recently acting for a major IT global service provider to handle the investigation and dismissal of a senior employee accused of bullying.
Sarah has assisted in advising numerous employers in the media industry in the commencement and termination of employment and consultancy agreements, including devising and handling several restructuring programmes from start to finish.
Sarah regularly advises and negotiates on behalf of senior employees from all of the major banks as well as finance, media and fashion industries in relation to exit strategies and packages, including existing stock plans.
