Luke advises lender's financial institutions, sponsors and funds on a broad range of financing transactions, principally on leveraged finance transactions, corporate loans, refinancings, recapitalisations and restructurings.

The focus of his practice is leveraged finance transactions, acting predominately for a wide range of private equity sponsors and various arrangers of acquisition finance. He has extensive experience in advising on management buy outs and other types of leveraged buy out, both of privately owned as well as publicly listed businesses, including cross border transactions.

Luke also advises in connection with general debt finance matters, such as syndicated and bilateral loan facilities, guarantee, security and structuring issues, mezzanine and other subordinated debt and intercreditor issues.

Acting for Quotient BioResearch Limited on its acquisition of BioDynamics Research Limited.
Acting for ACP Capital on it €2 billion bid financing for a major European business.
Acting for ACP Capital on the arrangement of its €217 million bridge financing of the IFR Capital Group to acquire the Homann Chilled Foods business in Germany.
Acting for ACP Capital on the arrangement and syndication of the €175 million senior and second lien refinancing of the IFR Capital Group.
Acting for The Caledonian Operating Company Limited on the financing of its £51.7 million acquisition of the Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh from the Hilton Hotels Group.
