Emily advises companies, individuals and not-for-profit organisations across a wide range of commercial disputes. In particular, she advises on defamation (in both print and electronic media), breach of privacy and internet-related issues and provides both pre and post-publication advice.

Emily also advises on all aspects of employment law. She acts for both employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious matters including terminations, redundancies, compromise agreements, discrimination and whistleblowing legislation, and other contractual issues.

Emily previously worked in politics in both the UK and US and continues to take an active interest in political affairs. She was seconded to David Miliband's campaign for leadership of the Labour party, where she advised on its set up, contracts and employment affairs, as well as its reporting and compliance obligations for donations.
