Daniel is a solicitor in the Employment department and advises employers and individuals on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law, dealing with issues from recruitment to termination of employment. Many of his clients come from the financial services industry, and the fields of recruitment, media and entertainment.
His litigation experience covers unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing and TUPE, as well as High Court claims involving restrictive covenants and the protection of confidential information. He has a particular interest in limited liability partnerships, having worked on the first case at appellate level to consider the employment status of LLP members.
Daniel regularly advises clients on the employment aspects of business transactions, including outsourcing exercises, mergers, acquisitions and business closures. He also has experience in advising on team moves, boardroom disputes and severance packages.
Daniel is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. He qualified in 2001.

- Currently working on the ongoing litigation against Dresdner Kleinwort (now owned by Commerzbank) relating to the non-payment of multi-million pound retention bonuses on behalf of a group of senior ex-employees of the bank
- Regularly advises a leading global media/entertainment business on employment issues
- Acted for the successful Respondent in the first Employment Appeal Tribunal case to consider the employment status of LLP members
- Was the main Assistant in a high value sex discrimination claim brought by an LLP member against a private equity house in 2008/9
- Represented a senior and well-known banker on his claims against his employer arising out of the start of the credit crunch
- Acted for an AIM-listed stockbroker in a complex disciplinary process culminating in the departure of two board members
- Advised Quotient Bioscience Group Limited on employment issues arising from its various corporate acquisitions, including the acquisition of Amersham Radiolabelling Services from GE Healthcare.
