Mishcon de Reya offers free ‘Change Review’

With a client base dominated by entrepreneurs, business owners and directors, leading London law firm Mishcon de Reya has long recognised the need to take positive action in the interests of its clients. In a move to alert clients to the most significant changes to UK company law since 1985, it has launched the ‘Change Review’ to advise on the impact of the Companies Act 2006.

As the three year modernisation of company law becomes fully implemented on 1 October 2009, Mishcon de Reya is offering a consultation, free of charge, with a Partner from its Corporate Group, to look at how these changes could affect clients and their businesses.

"The ‘Change Review’ is an opportunity for clients to find out how the new law can make business simpler. It will also alert them to the enhanced directors' duties and potential conflicts regime, which is something that is vital for business owners and directors to know about and of which they currently have little knowledge." says Nick Davis, Partner and Head of the Corporate Group. "Clients must be aware of the potential pitfalls and risks in ignoring these changes and the steps that a director can take to protect himself."

This initiative follows the launch of Mishcon de Reya’s PROTECT product, which proactively manages clients’ legal budgets by protecting against the cost implications of bringing a case.

Both the PROTECT product and the Change Review have been created to address the needs of entrepreneurs, business owners and directors in this tough economic environment.
