Mishcon de Reya joins PicScout’s Legal Partner Program
Mishcon de Reya is the latest addition to PicScout’s Legal Partner Program. The information company commands the world's largest index of fingerprinted and owner identified images and will now expand its Legal Partner services to its stock agency and photographer clients as part of an ongoing commitment to ensure that Every Image Gets Its Credit. PicScout’s ImageTracker™ product, one of the company’s many products using the company’s ImageIRC, provides clients with usage information which clients use to ensure rights managed images are properly licensed.
“We are delighted to be part of PicScout's Legal Partner Program. When Offir demonstrated PicScout's ImageTracker software we were simply amazed at the speed and quality of the information it gathered. Mishcon has long had a reputation for taking a principled stand; treating intellectual property infringement like any other form of theft. We have always sought to ensure that rights owners are fairly compensated for their losses,” said Adam Morallee, Partner at Mishcon de Reya. “Over the past 3 years we have recovered hundreds of millions of pounds for our clients who include businesses in the fashion, pharmaceutical and IT industries, as well as artists and authors. Indeed Mishcon de Reya New York LLP is currently seeking recompense for photographic images on behalf of a number of image rights holders.”
“While meeting with Mishcon in London, it struck me immediately that their approach called TULIP (turn loss into profit) is directly aligned with PicScout’s vision to assure that Every Image Gets Its Credit”, said PicScout™ CEO Offir Gutelzon. “Capitalizing on Mishcon’s efficient process for handling non-legitimate commercial uses of images, our clients will be well served as they seek revenue recovery duly owed to them for the use of the images they represent,”
