Mishcon de Reya announces intention to launch high-net-worth private client business

Mishcon de Reya has today announced that it has plans to launch a private client business for high-net-worth individuals and families, offering services including private bank relationship management advice, consolidated asset reporting, as well as tax and structuring advice. It will also offer concierge services - an extension of the 24–hour, 365 days a year global concierge service the firm launched in conjunction with leading luxury lifestyle group, Quintessentially, in 2010.

The new business will use all the legal services that Mishcon Private already offers, including reputation management, family, art law, residential property, immigration and contentious trusts and probate. The initiative is being led by Corporate Partner Richard Tyler, who is leading a strategic committee investigating the project, and the firm intends to pilot the venture with an existing client later this year.

Mishcon de Reya also announced today that it is in talks with a global brand and business consultancy with regards a possible joint venture to offer legal advice to the consultancy’s predominantly Asian-based clients looking to bring capital and business into the UK.

Commenting on the announcement, Managing Partner, Kevin Gold, said: “We want the name Mishcon de Reya to be synonymous with entrepreneurialism, and so we are looking at a number of ways that we can grow our business, as well as providing clients with what they want.

“With so many high-net-worth clients that themselves constitute the equivalent of multinational companies, we can see a market to service them as such, with an offering that goes beyond their legal needs. This will be dependent on us finding the best people in their field, but we are confident that we can attract the talent we need.”
