Mishcon de Reya advises Scottish Equity Partners and Business Growth Fund on SkyDox investment and Workshare collaboration
SEP is the UK’s leading growth equity and venture capital investor for innovative companies. BGF is an independent provider of long-term equity capital, assisting growth in the UK’s fast growing smaller and medium sized businesses.
The investment enables SkyDox to join forces with Workshare Limited - an associated transaction on which Mishcon de Reya also advised. Workshare is a document comparison and policy management business, which has a strong position in the legal sector; the investment will fund growth of the combined business.
The Mishcon de Reya team team was led by Corporate partner, Kevin McCarthy, assisted by Associate, Laura Chandler and Assistant, Victoria Theaker. Corporate Partner, Andrew Rimmington and Associate, Shantanu Sinha, assisted in relation to the equity investment. The Mishcon team included specialists in IP, Employment, Real Estate, Banking and Tax.
Kevin McCarthy commented: "This was a first instruction from both SEP and BGF and we are delighted to have been able to assist our clients in delivering a successfully completed deal; it also speaks to Mishcon de Reya's growing footprint in the UK mid-market for private equity".
Linklaters (Nick Rees) advised Skydox Limited. Taylor Wessing (Simon Walker) acted for Workshare Limited.
