Mishcon de Reya advises Quotient Bioscience Group Limited on its most recent acquisition

Mishcon de Reya Solicitors has advised existing client, Quotient Bioscience Group (Quotient), on its acquisition of the Phase 1 Clinical Trials business of Charles River Clinical Services Edinburgh Limited.
Quotient, a leading provider of drug development services, acquired Charles River Laboratories’ Phase 1 clinical research facility in Edinburgh which will combine with Pharmaceutical Profiles, acquired by Quotient in December 2008 (a deal also completed by Mishcon de Reya), to form a new strategic business unit within Quotient - Quotient Clinical Limited.
Corporate partner at Mishcon de Reya, Richard Tyler led the team assisted by corporate partner Kevin McCarthy and corporate assistant Michelle Kennedy together with Dan Myers for employment, Mary Guinness for IP and Luke Morris for the banking elements of the deal.

Biggart Baillie LLP acted for Quotient on the Scots Law aspects and Ernst & Young LLP (Belfast and Glasgow) handled the tax and financial matters for Quotient.
Dickson Minto W.S. and Charles River in-house legal acted for the seller.
