LandAid Future of London Debate
Mishcon de Reya supported LandAid’s first Future of London Debate hosted by London Mayor Boris Johnson at the iconic City Hall on 20 October. The event raised £40,000 for LandAid.
The Question Time-style debate was moderated by Today programme broadcaster Sarah Montague, with panellists including:
- Sir Simon Milton - Chief of Staff; Deputy Mayor for planning, housing & sustainable development
- Daniel Moylan - Deputy Chairman of Transport for London
- Baroness Margaret Ford - Chair, Olympic Park Legacy Company
- Sir Terry Farrell - Architect and Master planner
- Ian Hawksworth - Chief Executive, Capital & Counties
- John Bird - Founder of The Big Issue
- Michael Spencer – CEO, ICAP plc
The discussion focused on what steps must be taken to ensure the capital’s future viability and success, particularly in relation to the property sector and the economy. Over 250 senior players from across the capital’s commercial property and business sectors attended this exclusive invite only event.
