Kamal Rahman, Mishcon’s Immigration Head Joins Government Taskforce

Mishcon de Reya's Head of Immigration, Kamal Rahman will join the Government's new migration Employer Taskforce after being invited by Minister of State for Immigration, Citizenship and Nationality, Liam Byrne MP.
The taskforce has been designed to support the strategic development and implementation of the new Points Based System, an essential tool of the Governments Managed Migration Policy.
Kamal has an expanding practice at Mishcon de Reya covering work permits, investor and business applications, rights under European Law and issues relating to inward-investment to the UK from outside the EU.
Kamal is an integral member of the Firm's India Desk, which has extensive experience of advising Indian clients doing business and investing in the UK and Europe, as well as UK clients wishing to expand their business into India.
Kamal also sits on the Work Permits (UK) Sector Panel assisting in the development of work permit policy in the ITC sector and advises many IT companies in relation to immigration matters including advising large clients on developing an 'in-sourced' work permit capability themselves.
The first meeting of the Taskforce will be held on the 4 December 2006.
