Mishcon de Reya advises Matthew Punshon and Oliver Jones on joint venture with Helical Bar

Mishcon de Reya advised outsourcing experts Matthew Punshon and Oliver Jones on their joint venture with Helical Bar to launch a new property outsourcing-based group called The Asset Factor.

Punshon and Jones bring a wealth of experience in the property outsourcing sector to The Asset Factor, with Punshon having previously worked as a director of both Land Securities Trillium and Landflex - Land Securities' flexible business space subsidiary and Jones, as the sales and marketing director of Carillion, having run Citex and led Carillion in this field.

Mishcon’s team was led by Corporate partner Nick Davis and assistant Mark Hirschfield.

Property outsourcing is seen as one of the most likely property trends of the next decade, and The Asset Factor plans to compete with other firms in this field by taking a more entrepreneurial and focused approach.  Over the next five years, Punshon and Jones plan to target established organisations with legacy property portfolios with a view to building up a portfolio of outsourcing deals by offering innovative accommodation solutions and taking on both freeholds and leasehold liabilities to create valuable options for those customers.
