Legal Developments

Legislation

The National Minimum Wage (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2010 came into force on 4 January 2011.

Cases

The High Court ruled that there was nothing unlawful or disproportionate about the implementation of the National Minimum Wage (Amendment) (No.2) Regulations 2010, which will stop umbrella and recruitment companies from counting money paid for travel and subsistence expenses towards National Minimum Wage, when dismissing the claimant's application for judicial review of the proposed amendment.
