Richard Tyler is Head of the Corporate Commercial Department at Mishcon de Reya and a corporate finance specialist. His particular expertise covers IPOs, take-overs, rights issues and other capital raisings as well as mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

Richard acts principally for property, leisure, retail and finance companies. Recent transactions include:
- Acted for Helical Bar plc on its joint venture vehicle with Grainger plc in connection with the circa £180 million mixed-use development of the area around Hammersmith Town Hall, at the western end of King Street.
- Advised Maxima Limited, a vehicle of the Dellal family, on the high-value sale of Capelle Properties Limited, whose sole asset is Shell-Mex House, an Art-Deco landmark office building on the Thames to US fund manager Westbrook. Shell-Mex House is the headquarters of Pearson Plc and Royal Dutch Shell Plc.
- Advised the selling shareholders, including a joint venture between the William Pears Group and the Winston Group, as well as certain shareholders of the Malthurst UK Group on the £167 million disposal sale of Refined Holdings Limited, Refined Petroleum Limited, Refined Estates Limited and Malthurst (UK) Limited to MRH (GB) Limited.
- Acted for Quotient BioResearch Limited (“Quotient BioResearch”), the leading European provider of analytical and safety evaluation services and products for bioscience and sport, on its acquisition of BioDynamics Research Limited (“BioDynamics”).
- Acted for Quotient BioResearch Limited on its aquisition of BioDynamics Research Limited.
- Advised Chris Powell, Tim Darwell-Taylor, Chrisalis Trustees Limited and Emsley Management Limited on the sale of the entire issued share capital of Zero Octa (UK) Limited for an undisclosed sum.
