Karen combines a unique practice specialising in art and media. Karen founded the Firm's Art Law Group in 1995.

Those she represents include collectors, dealers, galleries museums, art foundations and artists in a broad spectrum of art related matters such as restitution of cultural heritage property, disputes over title, misattribution and authenticity and protection of intellectual property rights.
Karen has extensive experience in media matters, she advises among others high profile clients including business people, politicians and royalty on their reputation issues including
defamation, privacy and blackmail. She also has much expertise in defending the media.
Highlights include:
- Advising the Arab Republic of Egypt in relation to obtaining the return of looted cultural heritage artefacts.
- Acting for an international supermodel in protection of endorsement rights and defamation issues.
