Matthew Lindsay advises on all aspects of debt finance - with a particular focus on acquisitions and property investment/development. He acts for banks and borrowers in UK and cross-border financing deals and has particular experience of working with US organisations.

Matthew has a niche expertise in developing finance structures that use intangible assets as collateral. He also advises on the raising of debt finance for clients in distressed situations - either for asset-based or mezzanine lenders. As a result, he has become well-known for his non-contentious insolvency and corporate reorganisation work and acts for a number of insolvency practitioners.

Key Experience and Clients

Matthew has acted for Anglo Irish Bank, Allied Irish Bank, Clydesdale Bank, Swissfirst Bank AG, Portman Building Society, United Finance Limited and a number of private individuals who fund property on a mezzanine basis. Since joining, the Firm has also been appointed to the secured lending panel of Bank of Baroda.
